Role Summary Manage the Region's effort in vehicle procurement, distribution & inventory management. Keep region informed of inventory, ordering, delivery, & allocation status. Manage the dealer inventory profile (aging) and recommend solutions. Define and update best-selling vehicle configurations and load specs to order system. Actively manage dealer participation in the Port Installed Accessories program. Role Responsibilities Manage the region's effort in vehicle procurement, distribution and inventory management Actively participate in monthly sales planning process as it pertains to supply channel management Coordinate vehicle wholesale forecasting process for region and DAG groups Act as an expert of the distribution and allocation systems in guiding and discussing future business to the dealer body Travel to the dealers across the region to assist the Area Sales Manager team with distribution, allocation and BPO attainment discussions with key dealers Support corporate distribution initiatives to ensure order compliance (production restrictions, allocation shortfalls, launch activities) Suggest changes to the allocation and distribution processes as well as the order management process to improve the supply chain Identify problems / delays with vehicle movement through ports and recommend solutions Manage region's holdback distribution to the area teams based on stock days supply, solutions for sold orders, and BPO attainment Monitor region inventory and manage ordering of bulk and dealer vehicles in preparation for changes in trends and in preparation of foreseeable changes in supply - provide reports as necessary Create solutions for area shortfalls or oversupply situations Serve as a subject matter expert to the area and dealer teams about the inventory ordering process and building cars for the market Assist in the management and procurement of the region fleet of vehicles in support of sales and marketing initiatives Support national and regional marketing and sales initiatives by use of the region fleet of vehicles for events, ride and drives, and display opportunities Determine specs and plan for marketing and sales activities along with the Region Marketing Manager Assist in the management of transportation and placement of vehicles at region events Coordinate upkeep of the fleet of vehicles including maintenance, repair, port rework for new launch vehicles, and replacement. Work with corporate Product Launch and Product Management teams to ensure that customer/dealer demand is reflected in the product portfolio.
