Responsibilities

1.Coordinate activities related to the organization s Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance program, including:

  • Reviewing SOX scoping to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Assessing the design of internal controls through walkthroughs and best practice comparisons with other operating companies.
  • Performing independent testing of internal controls over financial reporting, including appropriate sample selection and documentation.
  • Reporting on testing progress and status, including milestone tracking.
  • Identifying deficiencies/issues and opportunities to enhance the control environment, and quantifying the related impact.
  • Following up and reporting on the implementation status of management s action plans.
  • 2.Adhere to the RAAS departmental policies and procedures, including ensuring consistency and completeness of workpaper documentation and compliance with IIA Standards.
    3.Execute independent reviews and evaluations of operations and activities, in accordance with the RAAS audit plan.
    4.Provide guidance to management on risks and controls and act as an ambassador to promote a sound financial control environment.5.Undertake relevant training, networking and studies as required to ensure continuing professional development.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree, ideally in Accounting or Business.
  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CIA is preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years experience auditing, ideally in a Big Four firm.
  • Experience performing SOX-relevant work is required. Experience of both external audit and internal audit is preferred.
  • A high level of professionalism/independence/confidentiality is a pre-requisite for the role.
  • Strong organizational skills are required, with an ability to meet deadlines and to multi-task.
  • Effective communication skills are required to interface well with management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Personal initiative, resourcefulness, and professional enthusiasm are important skills for success in this role.
  • The success of the individual will also be determined by their dedication, service-ethic, and ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Must possess integrity, objectivity, and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%-15% may be required based on assigned work, domestic or international.
  • The position is located at Princess s offices in Santa Clarita. Work beyond normal business hours may be required to support business needs or projects.
