Responsibilities

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff.

Qualifications

Experience:

- Bachelor s degree with at least 9 years experience in Microsoft Windows platforms and as an Design Engineer in Microsoft Active Directory or Exchange.

- Develop Windows architectural changes, platform upgrade plans, and implementation of new components within the environment.
- Excellent at PowerShell scripting for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolution.
- Expert level of understanding of Active Directory, GPOs, and one of the key O365 technologies, Tenant, Exchange, SharePoint, ADFS, AzureAD Connect (DirSync), or Skype.

- Familiar with diagnosing Windows issues related to networking components (e.g., firewalls, load balancers, web browsers, TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, LDAP, etc.).
- Must be able to provide after-hours support on an as-needed and/or rotating basis.
