The candidate should possess the ability to multi-task and adapt to a constantly changing environment. The purpose of the CMM operator position is to maintain a steady flow of castings into and out of company while maintaining a high quality standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a shipping and receiving record and verify all parts being received and shipped have the proper paper work.
Duties and responsibilities
\" Operate multiple CMM machines. \" Verify purchase orders and packing slips meet the company's requirements. \" Accurately maintain the Shipping and Receiving software. \" Aid the shop helpers with setting and deburring parts when needed. \" Verify part data meets the specific part specifications. \" Verify tech cards are up to date with current processes. \" Must be pro-active in questioning and verifying part commitments are being made. \" Daily upkeep and maintenance on the CMM machines.
\" High School Diploma. \" 6 months experience operating CMM's or related quality control work or 1 year experience in a production work environment. \" Experience with inspection tools (Calipers, micrometers, pin gages, etc.). \" Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Not required, but a plus. \" Basic knowledge of G, D, and T symbols and tolerances. Not required, but a plus. \" A working understanding of calibration procedures. \" Experience with UMESS or MeasureMax. Not required, but a plus. \" Effective use of problem solving and decision making skills.
